rental housing trends 2020: Selling Cheap rents, more importantly
Low rents will continue to be the decisive criterion for the housing choice. In a representative survey by the GfK market research commissioned by the VdW Bayern (Bavarian Association of Housing Companies) they are clear with 75.3 percent in first place. Number two and three flats follow with low energy consumption (65.9%) and a balcony, terrace, open space (49.3%).
When asked on which five Criteria tenants in the next ten years will create more value, the Germans agree: The most important are low rents. Two thirds of respondents see homes with low energy consumption in the future among the five most important criteria for tenants.

landed fifth place on the criterion of 'social composition of the neighborhood. " Well, one in four (28.7%) believe that their importance will increase over the next ten years. One in five (18.3%) feel that rent should be in ten years and low barrier-free. Especially the Generation 50plus makes a point value (27.1% vs. 14.8% of the 20-49-year-olds). Also living with service and support in residential areas is mainly the elderly in the heart (21.2% vs. 12.0%).
The survey was conducted by the GfK market research commissioned by the VdW Bavaria. The research firm interviewed 1,000 men and women aged 14 and over from all over Germany, including nearly 500 tenants. This corresponds to the tenant ratio of 48 percent.
